Homeowner Experience Improvement: Streamlined View of Warranties on Bids
Purpose: To streamline bid comparison for homeowners, we’re standardizing how Premium Manufacturer-backed Workmanship Warranties display on Architectural and Designer Shingle templates.
What’s Changing Effective April 2, 2026:
Previously, warranty details were entered by our contractors as free-form text. This led to variance in how warranty details are displayed to the homeowner. To improve the homeowner bid comparison process, we are standardizing how warranties appear.
The Workmanship Warranty line will be shown in a consistent format for all Premium Warranty bids. The display format will show both the Manufacturer program name + coverage years. This format will let homeowners clearly know how long they have coverage for, and know that the warranty is backed by the manufacturer.
How it will appear:
Each template will display the Workmanship Warranty with the correct manufacturer program name and specify the coverage period in years:
- GAF Silver Pledge Limited Warranty (10 Years)
- GAF Gold Pledge Limited Warranty (25 Years)
- Owens Corning Preferred Protection (10 Years)
- Owens Corning Platinum Protection (25 Years)
- CertainTeed SureStart Plus Extended Warranty 4 Star 15 Protection (15 Years)
- CertainTeed SureStart Plus Extended Warranty 5 Star 30 Protection (30 Years)
- Malarkey Emerald Premium (10 Years)
- Tamko Master Shield Enhanced (10 Years)
- Tamko Diamond Shield Enhanced (25 Years)
No Action Required: RoofMarketplace will automatically update all your current premium architectural and designer warranty templates with the new standardized format.
